DeskOwnr sits in your system tray. When a friend sends you an image, it lands on your desktop. Only people you've accepted can send, and one click puts your own wallpaper back.

Sign in with Discord
No new password. DeskOwnr asks Discord for your username and nothing else — it never reads your servers or messages.
Add a few friends
Both people have to accept. Until then, nobody can put anything on your screen — there's no way to reach a stranger's desktop.
Leave it in the tray
It listens in the background. When something arrives it's on your desktop in about a second, scaled the way you set it.

Every one of these is on by default or one toggle away, and they're all in the app — not buried in a config file.
Accepted friends only
Mutual requests. Block anyone, any time, and the friendship goes with it.
Restore my own wallpaper
In the window and in the tray menu. DeskOwnr keeps a copy of what was on your desktop before it ever ran, at its original scaling.
Rate limits you choose
Four images per friend per hour and twenty in total, by default. Set both, or switch off incoming wallpapers entirely.
Ask me before anything is applied
Off by default, because most people want the surprise. Turn it on and everything waits in a queue for your approval.
Report anything, instantly
Every image has a report button. Reporting takes it off your desktop straight away, before anyone reviews it.

Why an imgchest key? Images you send are uploaded to your own imgchest account, not to us. The key stays in Windows Credential Manager on your PC. You only need one to send — receiving works without it.
The questions everyone asks.
Can someone I don't know change my wallpaper?
No. You both have to accept the friend request, and you can remove or block anyone afterwards. There is no way to look up strangers — you can only find someone by typing their exact Discord username.
What if someone sends something horrible?
Hit report. The image comes off your desktop immediately and your own wallpaper comes back, before a moderator has looked at anything. Enough reports pull an image for everyone, and you can block the sender in the same step.
Does it animate GIFs?
No, and neither does Windows — the desktop takes a still image, so an animated GIF would land as a frozen first frame. DeskOwnr refuses them rather than delivering something broken. Still GIFs are fine.
Will it slow my PC down?
It's a tray app holding one connection open. It does nothing between wallpapers, and it doesn't touch your GPU — the wallpaper is set the same way the Settings app sets it.
How do I get my wallpaper back?
Right-click the tray icon and choose "Restore my wallpaper", or use the button in the window. DeskOwnr copies your original the first time it runs, so it restores the actual file, not an approximation.
How do I stop it completely?
Turn off "Accept incoming wallpapers" and nothing reaches you while staying signed in. Or quit from the tray, or uninstall like any other Windows program — your wallpaper stays as it is.
